             The state of Rajasthan with its 33 districts comes under the Rajasthan region. The Regional Office is located in Jaipur and is operational since 1958 .The Rajasthan Region has 12 Field Units. Each field Unit has 2-3 districts under its area of operation. The 12 units are located in Ajmer, Alwar, Barmer,Bikaner, Doongarpur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur,Kota,SawaiMadhopurSirohi, Sri Ganganagar, Udaipur. Of the 12 Field Units, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner & Sri Ganganager are Border Units located near the Indo-Pak international border.

     The units conduct programmes in the villages on a variety of themes such as education(SSA), health (NHM), rural employment (MNREGS) social security scheme, rural development schemes, BBBP, Swachh Bharat, water conservation, women’s empowerment, child welfare, welfare of minority and deprived sections of society etc.

In August,2017, DFP Rajasthan has organized 562 programme activities in 71 villages (13 Border) as a part of the special campaign to create awareness about flagship schemes of Government of India including Social Security, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Crop Insurance Scheme, Ujjawala Yojana and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Screening of PM’s Man Ki Baat (MKB) and Focussed Group Discussions on issues raised in MKB were held in villages. These programme activities includes 102 film shows, 282 oral communications, 154 photo exhibitions, 13 quiz competitions, 3 SOPs as a part of National Handloom Day Campaign and 8 SOPs as a part of Naye Bharat Ka Manthan Sankalp se Siddhi Campaign. During the National Handloom Day programme talks by experts/master crafts man on the Indian Handloom industry, ellocution competition on the subject ‘Hanloom & Young India’, quiz, film show and honoring of 9 master weavers were organized. During Sankalp se Siddhi Campaign besides host of cultural & sports activities, freedom fighters and retired defense force personnel were honoured, and they shared their experiences with youth.
About 81,755 people were directly reached through the programmes conducted in the Region. 8 Special programmes were organized by Barmer-Sirohi, Dungarpur-Ajmer, Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer, Kota-Alwar, Sirohi-Ajmer, Sriganganagar-Sawaiadhopur and Udaipur-Dungarpur Units. 8 awareness rallies were also organized during these programmes. Cultural programmes by S & DD were also organized during National Handloom day and Naye Bharat ka Manthan Sankalp Se siddhi programmes. Special programmes during Ramdevra Mela, Pokaran (Jaisalmer) is being organized by Jaisalmer unit.
Amongst the VVIP/VIPs who attended the various programmes this month include Sh. Rahul Kaswan, MP, Churu; Shri Ram Narain Dudi, MP, Rajyasabha; Mohd. Asraf Ali, Chairman, Rajasthan Urdu Akadamy(Status of State Minister); Sh. Shaitan Singh Rathore, MLA, Pokhran(Jaisalmer) and Sh. Tarun Rai Kaga, MLA, Chautan(Barmer).
