The Directorate of Field Publicity functions in three tiers, namely:

1. Headquarters at New Delhi

2. Regional Offices

3. Field Publicity Units

There are 22 Regional Offices, which are mostly located at State capitals. Currently there are 207 Field Publicity units which are spread all over the country, mostly located at district headquarters.
