During the year 2007-08 an
amount of Rs. 2478.64 crores
was provided to the Directorate
which included Rs. 44.34 lakhs
under Plan and Rs. 2434.30
crores under Non Plan.
Plan:
Ministry of I&B has
approved two Plan Schemes for
DFP during 11th Five
Year Plan period 2007-2012 viz.
(1) Conducted Tours/ Skill
Upgradation and (2)
Modernisation & Upgradation of
Hardware & Software at Regional
Offices and Field Publicity
Units. The total approved
outlay for the 11th
Five Year Plan is Rs. 6.80
crores.
Being the first year of the 11th
Five Year Plan period the SFC
approval from the Ministry was
received late during the last
quarter of the financial year
2007-08. An amount of Rs. 44.34
lakhs has been provided to DFP
for its two Plan Schemes during
the year 2007-08.
Out of this total
budget of Rs. 44.34 lakhs, Rs.
10.00 lakhs was earmarked for
organising two conducted tours.
Out of this an amount of Rs.
7.54 lakhs was utilized for
successfully conducting two such
tours. Rs. 34.34 lakhs was
given under the Modernisation
Scheme. 33 Desktop computers
alongwith its accessories and 3
Laptops were procured for a
total amount of Rs. 32.96
lakhs. Hence out of the total
Plan Budget of Rs. 44.34 lakhs
an amount of Rs. 40.50 lakhs was
utilized during the year 2007-08
which included an expenditure of
Rs. 5.23 lakhs for North Eastern
Regions.
Non-Plan
:
An amount of Rs.
2434.30 Lakhs was provided to
DFP in Final Grant under
Non-Plan. Out of this amount,
Rs. 2393.03 Lakhs were utilized
during the year 2007-08. It
included an amount of Rs.
1733.21 Lakhs for Salary alone.
Other major expenditure included
Rs. 144.68 Lakhs for P.O.L.; Rs.
133.55 Lakhs for Office Expenses
and Rs. 135.50 Lakhs for
Domestic Travel Expenses. An
expenditure of Rs. 106.73 Lakhs
has been incurred on Rent; Rs.
19.67 lakh for Minor Works; Rs.
62.09 lakhs for Other Charges
and Rs. 9.93 lakhs for Overtime
Allowance.
